Nothing was “ROARING” during the great depression


There was a recession following WWI. Although many were prospering and had ‘roaring’ times, the majority, especially the working class were experiencing very hard economical times. Back then there were few if no laws protecting workers, no minimum wage or unemployment insurance and working conditions were not what they are today as there were no regulations on how corporations treated employees. Most people in the Roaring Twenties were struggling to get by and eke out a subsistence
